Sumerian Blood is a game inspired by the good old Archon(a game from 1981).
The game plays as a kind of a chess board, but with units dueling to death once stepping on each other instead of automatic ellimination.
Unlike Archon, in Sumerian Blood each unit has it's own unique attack. The game is set on bronze age Mesopotamia with creatures from Sumerian mythology.
There are two armies to choose from. Gilgamesh's army and An's army. Gilgamesh is the boastful king of the Sumerians who have angered the gods.
An is the creator god of earth that have decided to wage war against Gilgamesh and his people.
The units are versitle and interesting.
Sumerian Blood plays on Windows, Android, and possilby other platforms in the future. The game will have single player and multiplayer(online and local) that can be played between different platforms. Android vs PC for instance.
Requires VC 2010 SP1 redistributable install. Can be found here:
For windows, just unzip and run. If it gets stuck, try editing Config.txt. Instead of Graphics = SFML you need to put Graphics = DX9. Instead of Audio = SFML you need to put Audio = None.
If you chose DX9 as your renderer, then you will need to have the latest DX9 update installed from MS.
For android, just install the APK file.
